Get The Vax!

I was one of of 85 artists commissioned by the The City of Chicago’s Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) in partnership with the Chicago Design Museum to participate in the “Protect Chicago” campaign. We were asked to create a piece that encourages Chicagoans to get vaccinated. Initially, I was going to do something like “Covid stops with you- get the vax!” But it quickly became apparent that even with the vaccine, one can still spread Covid. The big difference now is that the vast majority of hospitalizations and deaths are among the unvaccinated. So, I went with something a little more blunt 💀
